Chord is a modular sofa system defined by its quilted supergraphic topper and intuitive configurability. Conceived as a response to the complexity found in so many modular sofa systems, Chord is comprised of just three modules, and demands no rules or explanations. This inherent simplicity fosters a playful approach to composition and arrangement, empowering the user to participate in the design process. While aesthetically a nod to the low lounge sofas of the 1970s, Chord takes a modern approach to comfort and construction. An internal foam wedge cleverly disguises lumbar support within a vertical back rest and a 4 way connection system and allows the for the modules to be joined in any imaginable configuration.
